4. Login to edit your club website

Getting started as a club website editor.

How to Login

After you receive your username and password email from the Rostrum National website manager, login at www.rostrum.com.au through the left-side login box or the “log in” link at the upper right of the screen. Where to log in

Change the password

On your first login you will be asked for to change the password.  Make the new password secure - use both letters and numbers in the password.  Your password must be at least 5 characters long.  Do not put a password that will be easily guessed by someone else.

 

Click change password to save the new password.

When you log in

After you log in The right bar of the home page is changed.  These personalised items control your settings for your club website. They will remain as long as you are logged in. 

When you complete the login the confirmation page will display. 

Click on one of the “my folder” links to edit your club website.

Log Out

To log out, click the “log out” link in the upper right of the screen (where login used to be)‏.  Remember to log out every time you finish editing the club website.  Do not leave the access open for unauthorised users to edit your club website as all edits will be recorded against your username.

Viewing the website

When you are logged in you will see any changes that you have been making to your pages.  These changes are private until you publish them and they are authorised for public view by the Victorian website editor.

When you log out you can click on the club website link on the left nav bar (under Victoria / Rostrum Victoria Clubs / Your club number) to see the website as it appears to the general public.

Checking whether you are logged in

Personal actions bar If you are not logged on to the Rostrum web site, the personal actions bar at the top of the screen displays only a “log in” and “join” option. Additional options display when you log in. The personal actions bar shows the actions that you have available to you.

  • My Folder
    • displays a list of the contents of your club folder
    • and allows you to edit the club website
  • My Preferences
    • allows you to change your password
    • and to select the editor you use for editing the club website
